Welcome to my homepage. I am

Kevin J. Jarnot.

I'm a C-level technology exec who still loves to code.

I am a technology and product leader with decades of experience in software development, product management, and technology leadership.

I have a passion for building great products, managing technology infrastructure, safeguarding company data, and leading high-performing teams.

I’m currently the Chief Information Officer and Data Protection Officer at Uptime Institute, and I’m based out of Boston, MA.

About Me

I lead technology and product teams in the creation of solutions that meet future demands, open up new sales opportunities, and nimbly integrate new technologies for scale and speed to market.

I help companies in fast-growth mode that are going up the growth curve from smaller customers to enterprise and/or global scale, helping them calibrate their technology investment with the stage of the company. I bring a product-led mindset to build solutions that are very clearly aligned to customer needs and can be delivered in the timeframe that the customer requires. I lead engineering teams in the creation of strong, secure, connected platforms, with a reliable cadence of delivery to customers, and I align blended engineering and product teams to work in harmony with the customer in mind.

My career has woven together core tech and product themes across FinTech, HealthTech, B2B marketplaces, eLearning, clinical data and other data-centric organizations ranging from startup to Fortune 500. I’ve led tech/product for companies that have needed to re-platform, migrate to the cloud, create an integrated ecosystem, build for new markets, and/or leverage data for predictive analytics and machine learning.

I get things done. I do what’s necessary, and I know when to step back and lead strategy and when to get my hands dirty. I know how to work well with others and be a team player, to be humble, to adapt quickly to change, and to produce results.

My skills include:
  • Technology Leadership
  • Product Management
  • Software Architecture and Development
  • Data Protection and Security
  • Web Development
